System Engineer/Architect – DevOps

Company has a client in Anchorage, AK that is seeking a System Engineer/Architect – DevOps.


  • The System Engineer/Architect will maintain the current architecture
  • Provide and follow through upon approval on recommendations regarding design
  • Identify areas of optimization in the system and provide guidance for addressing these issue
  • As a System Engineer/Architect, you will adhere to good development practices: documentation, code standards, code/design reviews, optimization, and maintainability
  • Conduct automated unit and integration tests of product functionality following established testing processes or procedures
  • Research problems discovered by QA or product support and provide acceptable problem resolution
  • Research and identify new technologies and developmental tools
  • The System Engineer/Architect will perform other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, similar degree, or significant software engineering experience (8+ years)
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience developing web applications
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience developing applications using C#
  • Experience in AWS Cloud and SCOP
  • Proficient in Object Oriented Design and Development
  • Experience with .NET 3.5, 4.0, or 4.5 framework
  • Proficient in abstraction, advanced techniques, best practices, and design patterns
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills, self-motivated, and able to work and communicate in a team environment
  • Must be analytical, detail oriented and able to translate functional requirements into web-based solutions (i.e., web applications) using advanced technologies
  • Proficient with client-side technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and Ajax
  • Able to communicate fluently in English
  • Experience developing services using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
