Retail Application IT Specialist

Company is working with a leading manufacturer/retailer of sustainable beauty, health and wellness products in search for a Retail Application IT Specialist to join their team. This position is full-time, direct hire, on-site occasionally in NYC or NJ. This is a great opportunity to join a cutting edge team focused on innovation and industry defining technologies.

The Retail Applications IT Expert/Specialist will be responsible for providing roadmaps for Retail POS improvements, act as the SPOC for every Retail IT topic, and have a strong expertise in providing excellent customer experience in stores using technology. They will provide second level support, test new developments and document program changes that occur within the applications. This includes support analyst duties, gathering data specifications from users to develop internal reports and perform ad-hoc data extraction for projects.


  • Support Cegid application framework and data interfaces
  • Handle application upgrade cycle including release management, and end user testing
  • Support retail, corporate, and special sale retail operations (Cegid POS, Adyen payment system, and SVS gift card system)
  • Work with the firms’ IT colleagues globally on CEGID Y2 support, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Develop training concepts and user documentation for the CEGID Y2 suite for end users
  • Retail Applications Integration management
  • Work with our EDI, ESB, and API teams to ensure all inbound and outbound data flows are preserved with retail applications
  • Review IDOC’s and JSON data to ensure data is correct and stable
  • Interfaces include: Retail Orders, OCMS orders into WMS and other various systems
  • Gather requirements and help to implement new business processes revolving around Retail
  • Gather and designing reports using corporate tools
  • Develop, testing and validation of the reports built with end users
  • BS degree in Computer Science or comparable degree
  • Successfully solving interface issues on a timely manner
  • Delivery of solutions to system related issues to business users in an adequate manner
  • Proficiency with retail POS (Point of sale) systems, strong preference for Cegid Y2
  • Previous experience working/supporting SD functions in SAP
  • Experience with IT Omnichannel and Order Management system solutions. Manhattan Active Omni preferred
  • Previous experience working with EDI Flows
  • Experience in Agile/Product management
  • Experience and understanding working with T-SQL in a MS SQL Server environment
  • Prior experience working with report writing tools and have a working knowledge of reporting writing concepts
  • Experience working with SQL Server Integration Services to extract data out databases would be considered a plus
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Experience with working with Visual Studio .NET technologies (, C#, would be considered a plus to build custom solutions
  • Motivated and passionate about learning and working with technology
  • Ability to work under deadlines and ability prioritize multiple projects
