Company has a client in Baltimore, MD that is seeking a Software Engineer.
Summary:
Our client’s University Information Systems team is seeking a Software Engineer who will participate in and/or guide the development and support of administrative and educational/academic computing initiatives, including the Student Information System (SIS) and its extensions, career services system, admissions system and other enterprise systems. The Software Engineer is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and support of centrally-managed systems which support the academic mission of the university.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Software Engineer is responsible for the analysis, implementation and maintenance of third party systems integrations specifically but limited to Admissions, Career Services, Financial Aid
- Faculty, staff and student facing system enhancements
- Documentation of requirements, software design and support
- Adherence to departmental SDLC policies and best practices
- The Software Engineer is responsible for the implementation of University’s Digital Experience Platform (DXP)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five years of related experience
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in the assigned application as well as the platform on which it runs
- Experience with Student Information Systems, CRM or university administrative systems is highly desirable
- Experience with implementing and customizing/extending a vendor-provided solution
- Experience with Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, or other web technologies is a plus
