Company has a client in Oakbrook Terrace, IL that is seeking a .NET Fission Developer with Azure cloud experience for a long term project. This role is 100% remote.
Summary:
In this role, the .NET Fission Developer will provide technical leadership to architect, design, develop and maintain a REST-based API platform used by channel partners, internal and customer-facing applications providing access to highly critical real-time services required for 24 x 7 operations. All new functionality is cloud native on the Microsoft Azure cloud with some legacy applications in the process of being migrated.
Responsibilities:
- The .NET Fission Developer will understand business needs and develop options to meet near-term and long-term product and IT goals (20%)
- Apply design patterns and software engineering practices to deliver high quality, robust, and scalable solutions (30%)
- Use current programming languages and technologies, write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications (40%)
- As a .NET Fission Developer, you will work with Product Owners and business stakeholders to align IT roadmap with Product Owner vision (10%)
- 5-7 years of experience in developing and supporting enterprise business applications using Microsoft .NET technologies
- 5-7 years of experience using C#
- 5-7 years of experience using MS SQL Server, including Azure SQL
- Experience with cloud-based solutions, from monolith to microservice architecture
- Experience with cloud-native Azure technologies like Azure Functions, Event Grids, Service Bus Queues, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, or related a plus
- Familiarity with cloud design patterns a plus
- Experience with ASP.NET framework and design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, etc.
- Experience in both developing and consuming web API services, REST APIs, etc.
- Experience orchestrating microservices to create business APIs and REST API design and creation
- Experience with pure JavaScript, CSS and HTML; advanced JavaScript capability preferred
- Experience with front end frameworks: Angular JS (preferred), Bootstrap, React, Vue
- Knowledge and experience with best practices for secure web programming
- Automated testing skills including Selenium, Postman, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of the development life cycle in a SCRUM environment along with programming techniques and tools
- Modern cloud technology, Azure PaaS, serverless
- Experience with git, Azure DevOps, build pipelines, code branching/merging, code management
