Engineering Technician

Company has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking an Engineering Technician to develop a web interface for customers to select their module functionality with intelligent choices. The Engineering Technician will also present this tool to an internal team.
Essential Functions:
- In this role, the Engineering Technician will work closely with Design Engineering and Quality to identify process and product integration testability issues, (requirements, methods, and techniques) for new products, as well as for those that are currently in production
- Oversee the implementation of test solutions for all integration processes ay suppliers, third-party integrators, meter manufacturers and customer facilities
- Develop and maintain customer configurations worksheet process
- Document and report, on an ongoing basis, the progress and status of test process deployments, and test design and development projects to the Director of Manufacturing Operations and/or project team members
- As an Engineering Technician, you will assist with company-wide continuous quality improvements by providing recommendations for enhancing related policies, procedures, methods, and products
- Assist where necessary with Reliability and Failure Analysis testing
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management
- Associate degree in Electronics or technical certificate required
- BSEE or BA in Computer Science preferred
- 5+ years of experience with integration tests
- 4-6 years of experience in team-based design and development in one or more of the following: PC based test equipment, Mechanical fixtures, Serial Port communications, digital and analog interface circuits, and control of power circuits
- Knowledge of VB or VB.NET or equivalent programming experience
- Excellent knowledge of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software package
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Must be detail-oriented and can multitask
- Able to work well in a team environment requiring excellent verbal communication skills
- Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time
