A Company client in Rockledge, FL is seeking a System Engineer III.
Overview:
This role focuses on custom application development for the organization. This role will be a full stack developer. The main technology focus is Microsoft (.NET, SQL Server, Azure). The hired associate will be working in a collaborative team environment developing applications in an Agile Scrum methodology. The associate will also be developing and managing APIs to support integrating disparate systems throughout the organization.
The System Engineer III serves as an experienced technical member of an engineering team. The position will work across multiple disciplines to deliver IT products and services to the organization that scale efficiently while improving performance and minimizing costs.
The System Engineer III will mentor less experienced individuals and performs both routine engineering tasks and more complex project functions. This role may be a domain expert in a specific technology or discipline and is able to work independently with minimal supervision within their domain.
The System Engineer III is a lead contributor to strategies, standards, new capabilities, automated workflows, and development of new services within the organization.
The System Engineer III will have experience in design, implementation and support of infrastructure, software, applications, and/or security within healthcare or a comparably industry. The position will require working knowledge of Agile and/or Lean methodologies to deliver information services in an efficient and repeatable manner. The System Engineer III proactively works with customers, stakeholders, analysts, architects, and other engineers to troubleshoot and find root cause of technology and security defects. They need to be excellent team players and have demonstrated experience across multiple systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent STEM field
- Certification: Intermediate technical certification required within one year of hire
- Four years of experience in delivery of IT solutions to include server, storage, network, client systems engineering and/or security engineering required
- Experience with modern web technologies; Experience with Azure/Azure API Management is preferred
- Associates degree plus six years of applicable technical experience in areas as noted above or, in lieu of no degree, eight years of applicable technical experience in areas as noted above
- Thorough understanding of current development and trends in Information Technology and intermediate level experience in one or more of the following domains: – Infrastructure engineering: network, server, storage, and/or voice
- Cybersecurity Engineering
- Software engineering
- Windows and Linux
- Database engineering
- Public cloud environments
- Office 365
- Strong soft skills, verbal, and written communications, including the ability to turn complex technical topics into understandable terminology is a necessity
- This position must have the proven ability to lead specific functions of large projects and initiatives
- This position builds trust among colleagues, be a continuous learner, and focus on delivering capabilities for the customer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current intermediate level technical certification
- 4-6 years of experience preferred within Healthcare or a similarly complex industry
- Competency with scripting or automation technologies; Python, ansible or PowerShell
