Company has a client in Doral, FL that is seeking a Senior IT Program Manager.
Summary:
The Senior IT Program Manager position is a leadership role within Project Delivery and ensures their assigned technical projects and programs are well managed and that the project goals are delivered via the established IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC). This role may manage multiple high dollar, high risks projects and/or programs. Project/program teams include 30+ matrixed resources with a typical budget from $10+ million. The Senior IT Program Manager ensures that the programs and projects meet or exceed expectations regarding scope, schedule, budget and quality. This position manages relationships with multiple senior leadership stakeholders. The Senior IT Program Manager identifies risks and issues and drives to resolution and/or escalation. This role collects, measures, reports and communicates project/program status with a variety of leaders/groups throughout IT and the business.
Program Management Duties:
- Delivery of large strategic initiatives
- Oversees all aspects of program planning, management and execution (scope, schedule and budget)
- Works with the business to ensure the business case and ROI are documented.
- Works with IT to ensure the program strategy and technical solution meets the business objectives
- Creating a comprehensive program plan with sign-off from all workstreams
- Ensures the project team creates and maintains appropriate deliverables while following the IT PMLC/SCRUM and SDLC
- Leads budget and tracking creation and management with business, technology and finance
- Leads in negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinates preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of vendor contracts where appropriate
- 8+ years of overall experience in information
- 8+ years of experience as a technical project or program manager
- Experience working in a formal PMO, specifically on application and/or infrastructure projects
- Experience in technology planning, project planning and execution, change management, and team management in a matrix environment
- Experience managing multi-million dollar and high risk programs
- Ability to communicate project/program status including issues and risks to IT and business leadership
- Ability to effectively manage a portfolio of projects (scope, schedule, budget)
- Experience resolving all types of technical and financial project issues
- Experience holding teams accountable
- Experience managing vendors in the execution of their statement of work and holding them accountable
- Experience with MS Office Suite, Visio and an enterprise PPM tool such as Daptiv
- Experience in application or database development, security, release management, infrastructure and/or quality engineering
- Experience with a variety of technology solutions such as custom development, SaaS, COTS, cloud, digital, mobile, etc.
- Basic knowledge of data architecture such as data lake, MDM, BI, and analytics
Broad knowledge in a variety of technologies such as:
- Windows, Unix, Cloud and mainframes
- Application development languages such as .net, C, SQL, JavaScript, Java
- Databases such as Oracle and SQL and tools such as OBIEE, Hyperion, Hadoop, Tableau
- Storage technologies such as Dell Compellent, EMC VNX/Unity/Vmax
- Networking devices such as core switches, wireless controller, satellites and/or wireless networks such Cisco Access Points
