Company has a client in Doral, FL that is seeking a Senior Application Developer – SW Applications (.Net Tech Lead).

Summary:
The Senior Application Developer is responsible for supporting all phases of the software lifecycle for the complete suite of Traveling Management applications (GAT, Sabre, Getthere, QIK, and TAC) and to deliver comprehensive, extendable IT solutions with required integrations. The Senior Application Developer is responsible for ensuring that all assigned projects are completed on time and within budget. This role is also responsible for managing the day-to-day support activities, software/infrastructure anomalies and performance monitoring/tuning assessments. The Senior Application Developer will consult with the Manager, Shared Services Application Architect, Development & Support, and will consult directly, as needed, for senior level guidance concerning program initiatives, application/infrastructure environmental concerns, and technology strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and develop IT major and minor business application solutions which can be easily expanded with new feature sets and functionality on frameworks that are easily extensible
  • Devise frameworks which promote ease of adoption, sharing, re-use, and interfacing with other Travel Management application platforms simplistically and securely
  • Continuously enhance, tune, and optimize developed business solutions for efficiency and top performance gains
  • Ensured deployed business solutions and platforms perform within quantifiable KPIs
  • Institute preemptive/proactive monitoring solutions to identify and reduce platform exceptions and performance degradation, while concurrently executing automated self-healing/scaling measures
  • Devise/deliver IT solution related training/overviews to IT peers/business contacts alike for all developed business application solutions
  • Support crew cross-organization brand governance program and processes
  • 7+ years of experience with the following: Web Services/API Development, Twilio, Flight Aware, Python, Oracle DB, SQL, Java Script, .Net; Object Oriented design/development, HTML, XML; Data Modeling, Tableau, and PowerBI
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience with .Net apps development
  • 5+ years of Cruise Line experience
  • Proven architectural, design, development, and support experience
  • Agile methodology and Business analysis experience
  • Specific business domain experience/expertise and associated systems used within the specific portfolio a plus and in some cases may be required
  • Strategic thinker with strong implementation and solutions experience
  • Possess strong interpersonal, facilitation and consensus building skills
  • Proven ability to obtain cooperation and build trust internally and externally
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with third party technology vendors
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with management & peers
  • Demonstrated leadership in third party and office system integrations
  • Proven track record of success in prioritizing and managing multiple projects; experience with project forecasting and resource planning in waterfall and Agile development environments
  • Ability to understand and enforce IT governance policies
