Company has a client in Minneapolis, MN that is seeking a Splunk Developer.
Summary:
Our client has selected Splunk SaaS as the enterprise logging and observability platform. The existing logging data from various platforms is in the process of migrating into Splunk SaaS.
Elastic stack is a large platform that is processing critical logs including the Digital application at this time. Application teams have developed a lot of Dashboards/Alerts using the Elastic system. All these Dashboards/alerts needed to be recreated in Splunk SaaS. Front-end web development, also known as client-side development is the practice of producing HTML, CSS and JavaScript for a website or Web Application so that a user can see and interact with them directly.
Responsibilities:
- As a Splunk Developer, this role is responsible for the development of websites and applications through all phases of the development life cycle (including planning, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining)
- Working with project managers using traditional and Agile methodologies to plan and execute development
- The Splunk Developer will be optimizing Search performance using Splunk Best Practices
- A solid grasp of fundamental algorithms and applications
- Strong design and coding skills in Typescript/Javascript, and/or React
- Firm understanding of software development principles, capabilities and limitations of platforms, including first-time user experience, battery life, connectivity issues, and perceived performance
- Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team
- Hands on experience with JavaScript frameworks
- Knowledge of Accessibility and Web Standards
- Experience with both Responsive and Adaptive Web Design
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, yarn, etc.
- Splunk dashboard & alert engineering experience
- Splunk SaaS backend experience
- Skilled with SPL functions, arguments, and clauses
- Ability to understand Elastic Dashboards/alerts and the logic behind them
- Experience with alert’s complex logic
- Experience with JSON data formats
