Company has a client that is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer in Chicago, IL.
Key Tasks:
- Site Reliability Engineer will partner with development and infrastructure teams to ensure the critical systems have the right level of telemetry to leverage for alerting, ticketing, and proactive and reactive measures
- Partner with development, Infrastructure, and product on establishing SLA’s and SLO’s
- Identify challenges and associated test for known resiliency gaps so in the event of a failure we are confident we can recover and meet our SLA’s and prevent/reduce impacts to our customers
- Identify performance test, measurements and challenges preventing us from achieving our SLO’s
- Monitoring tools
- Automation experience
- Experience dealing with highly available systems performance testing
- Python skillsets
- Telemetry
- Culture fit
- Solar Winds – nice to have
Looking for someone who:
- Can explain the SRE role well
- Understands how much time is spent in Monitoring, Resiliency and Pipeline
- Pushing back on Development team
- Involved in performance testing
- Senior or leading the team
- Working proactively
- Preferences: Microsoft/Azure, MongoDB, Python or else able to pick up tech and has experience picking up tech quickly
