DevOps Engineer

A Company client is seeking a DevOps Engineer in a remote setting.
Summary:
In this position, the DevOps Engineer will use skills in translating high level requests into interfaces that are simple, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. They will collaborate closely with our world-class product teams, shipping valuable features using a range of different technologies and languages (such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, C#, Python, React). The DevOps Engineer will get to leverage a love for scalable software and code through working on a product that’s created to transform an industry. They will be on a small, tight-knit team, meaning the DevOps Engineer will get to have a big impact.
Responsibilities:
- Work with DevOps and Product Managers to ideate software solutions
- Design client-side and server-side architecture
- Build applications through appealing visual design
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
- Write effective APIs
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Create security and data protection settings
- Write technical documentation
- Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software applications
- Collaborate with the product team to define high-level requirements for product development
- Design web interfaces giving users an intuitive and enjoyable experience of the company’s Destination Operating System
- Clearly communicate design decisions and rationales to peers and stakeholders
- Conduct research and brainstorming sessions to develop user flows and compelling user experiences
- At least 5 years of experience as a full stack developer or similar role
- Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
- Familiarity with common stacks
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
- An analytical mind and experience with information architecture fundamentals
