Company has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a UE Front End Engineer. This is a great opportunity to play a large role in guiding and consulting developers across multiple product teams.
Summary:
To better serve the needs of our clients, we are looking for a UE Front End Engineer who has extensive front end experience and can provide technical leadership for front-end development. Among other things, the UE Front End Engineer will be key to the success of our deliverables and the personal growth and development of others. This role will be the bridge between User Experience designers and developers, and enjoy facilitating collaboration between everyone. They ensure ideas are technically feasible, and that we’re delivering a rich experience for thousands of branch teams and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Architect responsive and browser agnostic web applications
- Collaborate with User Experience designers to ensure technical feasibility and translate design vision into reality
- As a UE Front End Engineer, you will build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Participate in and represent User Experience in cross-functional groups across the division and firm to continually advance the firm’s technology solutions and take our systems to the next level
- The UE Front End Engineer will advise teams on the effective use of front-end technology within our enterprise architecture tools, including methodologies, best practices, processes and standards
- Proactively seek process solutions
- 7+ years of experience developing responsive and browser agnostic web applications in an enterprise environment
- 7+ years of experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Advanced JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, and REST Web Services
- 2+ years of experience with React
- Ability to use CSS extensively to create custom and rich user interfaces
- Experience leading and mentoring developers of all levels
- Experience and passion for working in an agile environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills required to manage multiple efforts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be comfortable mentoring multiple entry and mid-level developers
- Approach tasks with empathy and a service-oriented mindset
- Ability to help shape the roadmaps of multiple applications
