A Company client is seeking to hire a Mid-Level SQL Developer in Boca Raton, Florida (FL).
Summary:
This SQL Developer position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business applications, reports, and utilities primarily under a Microsoft Stack (.NET, IIS, MSSQL Server). The responsibilities also include incidental and ad-hoc problem solving, analysis, and other data related tasks. This position will work directly and closely with other technical and business teams but will also be expected to operate independently as a trusted expert that does not require micromanagement. The ideal candidate would be a person who takes charge of projects, looks to be a mentor to others, and is excited by the prospect of solving difficult and interesting technical challenges – while also staying on top of day-to-day tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain data-oriented solutions to satisfy business needs
- Work with end-users to gather and refine business requirements for solution development
- Mid-Level SQL Developer will maintain or redevelop existing reports and solutions
- Provide business users with ad-hoc data required for metrics and analysis
- Create and maintain documentation for all solutions
- Perform quality checks on reports, exports to ensure accurate, and consistent results
- Mid-Level SQL Developer will mentor and problem-solve collaboratively with the rest of the team
- Monitor and troubleshoot automated jobs to ensure they are functioning as expected
- 3-5+ years of experience in building and supporting Front-End and Back-End systems on Microsoft stacks
- Microsoft SQL, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML5, and CSS knowledge
- SQL Query performance best practices, troubleshooting, and tuning
- Expertise with SSRS and SSIS
- Broad ETL experience with diverse tools
- Comfortable with Source Control systems (TFS and Git)
- Microsoft PowerPivot and Power BI or similar (Tableau, Looker)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Enthusiastic and self-reliant work ethic
- High attention-to-detail
- Ability to document, train others on technical and business processes
- Familiarity with team collaboration tools (Slack, Jira, etc.)
- Excellent communicator
Skills considered a plus for this position:
- Microsoft Power BI or similar (Tableau, Looker, PowerPivot)
- SQL and/or DBA experience
- Microsoft SQL and SSAS knowledge
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
