Full Stack Quality Engineer

Company has a client in Cincinnati, OH that is seeking a Full Stack Quality Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract to hire basis. Remote candidates will be considered.
Team Summary:
This team is responsible for providing technology solutions for the purpose of improving the freshness of produce, meat, and seafood from the growing farms to the customer’s fork. This team will be creating capabilities using tools like Android and Power BI for monitoring the quality provided to our client from their vendor partners, collecting new data and using that data to drive improvements across our client’s technical ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing team and help set the direction for improving customer experience.
Position Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing feedback on artifacts developed during requirements and analysis phase within client projects; authoring test cases/scripts; and performing test execution for both project and support related activities. The Quality Engineer is expected to leverage technical expertise to develop maintain and execute automation tests. Also, the Quality Engineer should help identify opportunities to improve application code quality by increasing unit and integration test coverage. This Quality Engineer role will be assigned to a web application. This application has a React front end and a RESTful services backend. The candidate will develop and maintain functional automation test scripts utilizing modular frameworks and best practices.
- 5+ years of QA experience
- 3+ years of experience writing Selenium tests in Java or JavaScript using (Web Driver, Web Driver IO, Marathon, Appium etc.)
- 3+ years of experience with test runners (Junit, TestNG, Mocha, Jasmine)
- 3+ years of experience with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab)
- 3+ years of hands-on, automation testing of integration web services (REST and SOAP protocols) that include database validations using tools like (CA Dev Test, Rest Assured, SOAP UI Pro, Postman, etc.)
- 3+ years of Rest Assured framework experience for automation
- 3+ years of experience with Build Automation tools like Maven or Gradle or similar
- 3+ years of experience in writing SQL queries and validating the DB tables
- 3+ years of Java/JavaScript programming and Selenium)
- 2+ years of using Quality Center/ALM for test case management
- 2+ years of working in an Agile/Scrum methodology
- 1+ years of experience with Selenium Grid
- 1+ years of experience with JMeter
- 1+ years of using Jira for defect tracking
- Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Proficient in defect tracking and analyzing root cause utilizing tools (Jira, Rally, etc.)
- Strong understanding of automation and performance concepts and approaches
- Understand and utilize risk-based testing technique
- Experience in test environment and test data management
- Demonstrated experience in XML, XSD, XPath, MQTT, Topics, HTTP, HTTPS, JSON, Bytes array message format
- Experience in SOA frameworks, processes, strategies, and approaches
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, to challenge the norm
- Prefer Selenium being utilized in the current/most recent project
- Prefer Agile methodology being utilized in the current/most recent project
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
