Company has a client in Milwaukee, WI that is looking for an Application Developer. This is a Milwaukee based position, with training on site, and work-from-home or hybrid work options.
Summary:
Under the direction of the IT manager, the Application Developer designs and develops software applications utilizing a variety of programming languages. In this role, you will understand utilization of WorkWise ERP, OnContact CRM, and internally developed software applications. In this fast-paced and team-oriented environment, a conscientious and collaborative approach with a strength for analyzing and problem solving along with a high attention to detail and timeliness of task completion is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Application Developer will provide training and support to both IT staff and non-IT users
- Collaborates with Executive and IT staff regarding database and application development and structure
- Create computer-generated reports for users
- Works at a faster-than-average pace and produces accurate and detail-oriented work within a high-service environment
- Works on smaller projects as they come up – Implementing a shipping software and need to do an integration with that; Lots of application support and some new development
- As an Application Developer, you will help put in new software as they grow on the customization side of things
- Maintain existing code, handle requests like putting together changes to intranet
- Familiar with Pascal, Dioval or OpenVMS would be a huge plus – their servers are running on OpenVMS and are halfway through the transitioning and implementing off OpenVMS
- ASP.NET, Windows shop – SQL server in their database infrastructure
- Heavily into visual basics
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
