Company has a client in Madison, WI that is seeking 3 Java Developer IV to join their team. Candidates local to Wisconsin are highly preferred, but remote candidates will also be considered.

Summary:
The Application Developer role is directly involved with the development and support of Java and JavaScript web applications. Within an existing application, the role will evaluate how to best meet requirements and implement enhancements as well as provide maintenance and support. For new applications, the role serves as a team member under application architect direction in developing java and web applications in an agile environment. In this role, you will spend much of your time producing code as part of an agile team. As a Java Developer IV, you will be part of implementing modern frameworks and technologies and should have experience with Spring Boot and front-end JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS.

Key Tasks:

  • Java Developer IV will participate as a developer and code reviewer on project teams
  • Developing prototypes and proof-of-concept applications to determine the best technical approach
  • Implementing new tools and approaches within the SDLC
  • Participating in Agile scrum ceremonies
  • Working with business representatives to define and refine requirements
  • Working with quality assurance team members to create and deliver testable software
  • Provides development support to new custom applications and legacy systems as a hands-on developer
  • 4 years of Java experience
  • 3 years of JavaScript experience
  • 2 years of SQL experience

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with financial systems, including invoicing, billing, or payment systems, is highly preferred
  • Agile Development Experience
  • ReactJS or another SPA JavaScript framework
  • Git

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
