A client with Company is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with React JS experience (Senior Full Stack Engineer (UI focused). This position is mainly remote, but the candidate must be located near worksite and willing to come on site in Lake Forest, IL at least once a week. You will work to make client’s website be cloud-native, highly scalable, resilient, and available

  • 7+ years of overall software engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js + React.js with Typescript
  • Experience writing unit, integration, and end to end tests with frameworks such as easyMock, Mockito, Nightwatch.js, Jest, RestAssured and Selenium
  • The candidate must have knowledge of cloud native event-driven microservices based architectures including operational concerns such as performance, resiliency, observability, monitoring, discovery, and routing
  • Thorough understanding and strong advocacy for XP practices and mindset such as TDD, trunk-based development, CI-CD, frequent incremental iterative deployments, pair programming, peer reviews et al
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js + React.js with Typescript
  • Some experience with Java/Spring boot and open to work with backend technologies
  • Past experience in a test-driven development environment
  • Past experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of NoSQL and other modern database and storage technologies is desirable; We use MongoDB
  • Working knowledge of one cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Cloud Foundry
  • Proficient with Git
  • Hands-on experience with one Continuous Integration tool (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Circle CI, Bamboo, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Past hands-on experience with Kafka
  • Working knowledge of a cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Cloud Foundry
  • Comfortable with Agile methods such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum and/or Kanban
