Company has a client that is seeking a Build Engineer for a remote position.

Our client is a remote and hybrid studio with team members working from multiple locations and a dedicated office in Redmond. As a Build Engineer, this role will be vital in ensuring games are delivered robustly to customers and in meeting a high quality and security bar. They will be responsible for implementing all requirements on the pipelines and for ensuring that build pipelines comply with all cybersecurity regulations. The Build Engineer will become part of a team that values learning and growing, welcomes feedback, takes initiative, and is accountable for their work. Responsibilities:

  • Work from a prioritized Kanban board of DevOps work tasks that span multiple games and platforms
  • Work with development teams to build all components of our games, including maintaining batch files and tools, to keep up with changes in the product
  • Proactively identify and implement procedures to parallelize and streamline the build process
  • Drive the development and maintenance of build automation tools
  • Communicate with leadership technical requirements and estimates of solutions
  • Create and document technical designs of your work
  • Engage and collaborate with other Microsoft teams in support of your work
  • 4+ years of C#/.NET scripting/systems programming experience
  • 3+ years of experience of building and maintaining continuous integration and release pipelines
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with YAML-based pipelines

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with PowerShell and Bash
  • Experience with Cake (C# Make) build automation system
  • Experience with creating build pipelines for Unity games targeting Android, iOS and/or UWP (Universal Windows Platform)
  • Experience with App Center
