Senior Quality Engineers

A Company client is seeking to hire a Senior Quality Engineers in Phoenix, Arizona (AZ). We are working directly with the Hiring Manager. This company offers a competitive compensation packaging including base salary, annual bonus, 401K matching, etc.
Responsibilities include:
- Senior Quality Engineer works almost exclusively on the shop floor daily alongside operators infusing quality thinking and local problem solving for cultural transition
- Daily Gemba walks to scour the site for visible issues in the product and process; Coordinates immediate resolution
- As a Senior Quality Engineer, this role supports learning organization initiative through daily teaching/coaching on the shop floor; Imparts technical knowledge of the process and reactionary logic based on process deviation observation
- Becomes a subject matter expert in area of coverage (extrusion, fabrication, etc.)
- Supports internal investigation of customer claims and complaints
- Acts as a Liaison with the customer for Automotive Quality Issues
- Works closely with the Product Development Team on APQP activities with a proactive -zero defects-approach
- Senior Quality Engineer develops SPC tools and works to manage the output response to special cause variation; Mitigates deviations in R2R
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Quality Engineering or similar degree
- ASQ-CMQ/OE, CQE, and/or Master Blackbelt (preferred)
- Certified IATF16949 and/or ISO9001 Lead Auditor (preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Analysis, APQP, Six Sigma tools and methodologies
- Core Tool knowledge (PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, Control plans, DFM)
- Proven excellence in RCCA using 8D
- Demonstrated project management experience and success in leading change
- Experience with Power BI and other data collection and presentation tools
- Strong knowledge of statistical quality tools (sampling plans, capability analysis, SPC, DoE, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving, documentation, and organizational skills
- Must be a team player and can be a self-directed team player
- Experience with SAP PM or other CMMS
- Experience in a highly regulated industry such as Aerospace, Automotive, Semiconductor, etc.
- Maintenance experience in hydraulics, PLC, and electrical system preferred
