Software Support Engineer C#/.Net

Company has a client that is seeking a Software Support Engineer C#/.NET in Palo Alto, CA.

Day-to-Day duties:

  • Report issues and send requests to support contact
  • Deals with platform, code, and data related issues, works as an analyst in troubleshooting/investigating/debugging
  • Access code, investigate, troubleshoot, reproduce the issue to try and identify the root cause
  • Create and manage tickets with development team to fix the code
  • Work with respective product managers to triage the issues at hand

Additional notes:

  • This role is a combination of support and development
  • Experienced Support engineer or Developer who is willing to work in technical support; Typically, for an experienced resource, we expect the person to have at least basic coding skills that will enable them to read and understand the code aiding in root cause analysis; Experience in support is optional or candidates with brief industry experience (1 to 2 years) – knowledge/exposure to Web application development or support
  • Top Skillsets: SQL Scripting, C#, .NET coding knowledge
  • Basic SQL expertise
  • Knowledge in web applications
  • Experience in support is optional
  • Basic coding skills; Needs to be familiar with coding to be able to read and decipher (Be able to write simple to medium level of complexity)
  • Java or J2EE nice to have
