Lead .Net Developer – Backend API

Company is looking for a Lead .Net Developer (Backend API) for a short-term contract to hire opportunity with an organization in the Leawood, KS area. The Lead .Net Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of all API services on the client’s digital platform.
Responsibilities:
- The Lead .Net Developer is responsible for the development of the most challenged, difficult, and/or progressive features and enhancements to the client’s API services and endpoints that align with established architecture/standards/process withing each chosen toolset; This includes collaboration and compliance, architecture, security, front-end development (internal & external) and operations teams
- Participate in the continual improvement of technical solutions, standards and processes associated with API development; This work may establish new guidelines and prototypes for others to follow
- Responsible for mentorship of other developers; This includes participation in code reviews, assistance in development tasks of others when needed, and ownership of the work of others to ensure the success of the group
- The Lead .Net Developer is responsible for API development tasks; This includes interpretation of requirements, technical coding, and debugging; Also includes communication of these tasks across technical peers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent (necessary to develop self-direction, writing ability, critical thinking, and foundations of programming and software delivery fundamentals)
- 7+ years of experience in .Net development
- A solid understanding of the theory and architectures implemented in the commercial and open-source tools used to deliver service-based applications and portal delivery services is required; This is often not provided through technical certification schools, although technical schools often provide the specific training on the tools used in business integration environments
- Technical leadership and/or architectural experience is nice to have

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
